Film 1
Students learn the basic skills to create a film. Using Flip Cameras and iMovie students will write a storyboard, film, edit, and show their film in class. This is a great class for students who want to work with computer, work in groups, and create movies.
Film 2
Students will apply the skills they learned in Film 1 to more challenging projects using different cameras and editing software that they used in Film 1. Students will be using Final Cut Pro to edit their films and using more than one camera to ensure a variety of shot styles with every film. A variety of film competitions will be offered for students to participate in as well.
Video Productions
This film class focuses on making the announcements for school. You will have needed to pass Film 1 successfully to take this class. You will be working in small groups to film events and news at the school. If you enjoy attending BLHS activities and sharing with your peers about what is going on at school then this is the class for you. You will need to feel comfortable filming and editing footage quickly in order to broadcast the announcements at school.
